Maurika Ross is a mixed media artist newly arrived in the Pacific Northwest. She recently relocated to join family, leaving behind her beloved Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Her work centers on infusing spaces with joyful light. Whether drawing from elements of nature or everyday objects, she brings out their fullest potential with creativity and care.

From an early age, Maurika knew she had a creative spark. In 2020, after being diagnosed with cancer, she made the courageous decision to leave her established career in veterinary medicine and focus on healing. That journey led her to reimagine her path, centering creativity as both purpose and practice.

Maurika now uses her artistic eye to solve problems with imagination and bring beauty to everyday moments. She’s passionate about crafting immersive experiences and giving discarded materials a joyful second life. Her work often evokes a sense of whimsy, inviting wonder into the spaces she touches.

Whether curating a runway show, crafting immersive experiences, designing petite inner-city community gardens, styling interiors, or building moments of connection, Maurika is eager to serve as a creative coordinator across all aspects of life.
